セントラルバレー日本語補習校へようこそ！
本校は、カリフォルニアでも教育水準の高いクロヴィス学校区に設立し、セントラルバレー唯一の日本語補習校です。小学部、中学部を併設し、小中一貫教育を提供しています。日本の教科書を使用し、日本語で日本国内の学習指導要領に基づいた教育を毎週土曜日に行っています。
将来、日本の学校へ編入する際にスムーズに適応できる力を養うこと、また、アメリカ国内や外国生活においても日本語や日本文化を大切にし活躍できる力を育てることを目的としています。30年余りの歴史の中で、多くの児童・生徒が本校で学び、巣立っていきました。本校に在籍した児童・生徒は様々な分野で活躍しています。
本校は小規模学校の特性を生かし、教職員一同、児童・生徒一人一人に寄り添った教育活動を目指しております。
このグローバル社会において、お互いを尊重し世界の架け橋になるよう人材を願い、日々精進しております。また、保護者会のご支援のもと、運動会、遠足、新年会等の日本の学校文化及び伝統行事等にも触れる機会を大切にしています。

Welcome to Central Valley Japanese School!
Located in the Clovis Unified School District, known for its high educational standards in California, our school is the only Japanese supplementary school in the Central Valley. We offer a consistent educational program for both elementary and junior high school students. Using Japanese textbooks, we provide education in Japanese based on the Japanese national curriculum every Saturday.
Our aim is to foster the ability to adapt smoothly when transferring to schools in Japan in the future, and to nurture the ability to value and thrive with the Japanese language and culture, even while living in the United States or other countries. With over 30 years of history, many children have learned and grown at our school. Our alumni are active in various fields.
Taking advantage of our small size, our faculty and staff are committed to providing educational activities that are tailored to each individual student.
In this global society, we strive to develop individuals who respect each other and become bridges between the world. With the support of the Parent Teacher Association, we also value opportunities for students to experience Japanese school culture and traditional events such as sports days, field trips, and New Year’s parties.
