Central Valley Japanese School (CVJS) is a supplementary school for elementary and junior high school students who live in the Central Valley of California, USA, and attend local schools.
In today’s global society, having a strong understanding of the Japanese language is a valuable asset for children. We welcome all children, including those who may return to Japan in the future, those who need Japanese to succeed in the international community, and those who want to deepen their understanding of Japanese culture and traditions.
At CVJS, we provide high-quality Japanese language education based on the curriculum guidelines of Japanese elementary and junior high schools. We place particular emphasis on Japanese language arts education, focusing on:
