小学３・４年生と中学１年生の生徒たちが、地元の有名な鮮魚店「Central Fish Co.」へ社会見学に行ってきました。
普段は見ることができないお店の裏側を見学したり、ストアマネージャーの方に直接お店の運営についてインタビューしたりと、盛りだくさんの内容に生徒たちは興味津々。🙋♀️🙋♂️
今回の目玉は、「Master Cut」の称号を持つ職人さんによるサーモン解体ショーです。目の前で大きなサーモンが鮮やかな手つきで次々と捌かれていく様子は、まさに職人技！生徒たちもその迫力に釘付けでした。🐟🐠
普段は体験できない貴重な学びの機会に、みんな大満足の様子。最後は、お小遣いの10ドルを手に、それぞれ好きなお買い物を楽しんでいました。🍭🍪

Field Trip to the Local Fish Market!
Students from the 3rd, 4th, and 7th grades recently took a field trip to the local fish market, Central Fish Co.!
The students were full of curiosity as they experienced a packed schedule, including a behind-the-scenes tour of the shop—an area not usually accessible to the public—and a direct interview with the store manager about how they run the business.
The highlight of the day was a spectacular salmon filleting show by a craftsman with the title of “Master Cut.” The students were captivated by his powerful and skillful knife work as the large salmon was expertly prepared right before their eyes.
Everyone was very happy with this rare and valuable learning opportunity. At the end of the trip, the students each enjoyed shopping with their $10 allowance.
